Flying over the forests of Kota-Kinabalu, I was struck by the beauty of the

dense green cover of the rain forest. The shades and texture varied from one

area to another. The contrast with the blue skies and patches of white clouds

was remarkable. We flew over miles of such beauty. I gazed onto it and as we

When Ernst said "the scenery will blow your mind away", I thought he was exaggerating. After all, he spends more time underwater and enjoys even the 5 meter visibility of certain dive sites.



Our first dive was at Barracuda Point, Sipadan. To say that my mind was blown away would be an understatement. The abundance of fish was overwhelming, the colors of the coral reef were unmatched by any natural scene I have come across in my life.
