Reef Check Dive

Four Tawasul volunteers, Rama Chakaki, Samantha Dancy, Rima Itani and Mahmoud Abu-Wardeh completed their Reef Surveyor certification dives today in the Musandam.

We were led by our instructor, the Living Legend, Ernst Vanderpoll and Divemaster Nathalie Turpin helped keep us all in check during the reef check. Fouad Aoun also joined us for the day as a pleasure diver, braving the choppy waters, red tide and cold waters.

The location turned out not to be too ideal for future reef surveyor dives since the coral was a bit sparse. Hopefully next time we'll have better luck finding a location that could serve as one of the Tawasul permanent reef check sites.
